ITP’s 12th Technology Convention analyzes Horizon 2020 challenges

Today and tomorrow ITP is celebrating its 12th Technology Convention at the Auditorium of Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum. As part of the commitment with the challenges of Horizon 2020, the main topic of the convention will focus on the Clean Sky 2 program, Europe’s largest aeronautical R&D program.

The Convention will welcome as special guest program director Eric Dautriat, who will present the innovation opportunities offered by Clean Sky 2. The session will bring together over 160 professionals from the sector. Those in charge of opening the event included Estibaliz Hernáez, Deputy Minister of Technology, Innovation and Competitiveness of the Basque Regional Government; Jorge Sendagorta, SENER’s President, and Ignacio Mataix, ITP’s General Manager.

Clean Sky 2 is a public-private initiative that brings together leading companies from Europe’s aeronautical sector as well as public research bodies for the development of leading-edge technologies. The goal of Clean Sky 2 is to reduce future emissions and noise generated by aircraft and to guarantee the competitiveness of Europe’s aeronautical industry.

With a total budget of 43 million, it is the biggest R&D program ITP has ever participated in.
