In the words of José Luis Zubeldia, Executive Director of ITP's In-Service Support Business Unit, "both models are central to our activity and this contract serves to strengthen ITP's position as a point of reference among civil engine maintenance suppliers".
The contract is based on the format of payment by flying hour and represents a step forward in the co-operation between ITP and INAER, covering the maintenance of 50 engines. The work to be carried out on the PW206C engine will take place at ITP's In-Service Support plant in Albacete while the M250 will be handled at the Bognor-Regis facility (UK).
ITP In Service Support is officially certified as a DOF (Designated Overhaul Facility) for engines from the PW200 series and is also a Rolls-Royce Authorised MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) Centre for the M250 model.
INAER is a Spanish aeronautics company with a fleet of 360 planes and helicopters, and has a presence in Spain, Italy, France, the UK, Portugal, Chile and Australia.
Work Centres
ITP In Service Support has a total of 5 work centres worldwide in the United States (Mesa, Arizona), Malta, the UK (Bognor-Regis, West Sussex) and Spain (Albacete and Ajalvir, Madrid) with a total staff of 650 workers.
They have led the field since 1972 in MRO services for engines, components and accessories. In their portfolio they include engines from regional airlines, business aviation, helicopters and Defence applications and they provide support to both aeronautic and industrial customers.
ITP In Service Support has all of the certificates issued by main Original Engine Manufacturers, by the principal aeronautic organisations (the FAA and EASA) and by the relevant civil authorities. They also follow the highest possible standards in areas relating to Quality, Environmental Issues and Labour Health and Safety as part of their global package of services adapted to the needs of their customers.
