Ignacio Mataix to leave ITP Aero

Ignacio Mataix has decided to leave ITP Aero and to take up another business opportunity. He will continue to work for ITP Aero until 16 February, in order to assure a smooth transition. The search for his replacement has already started. In this transition period the company and its Executive Team will be led by Carlos Alzola, who will become Interim General Manager ITP Aero; Simon Kirby, Rolls-Royce COO will provide strategic guidance.

Carlos Alzola, a mechanical engineer by training, is currently Managing Director of ITP Externals. He has a proven track record of 25 years at ITP Aero, has been Executive Director Civil Business for ten years and worked closely with all of ITP Aero's OEM customers in the past.

Ignacio Mataix said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed being with ITP Aero and helping to grow its business over the past 14 years. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all ITP Aero employees for their dedication, as well as our customers and stakeholders for their continued confidence in our business. My decision comes at an exciting moment for the company and whilst I am sad to leave, I know that ITP Aero is in good hands and is well positioned for a strong future and growth."

Warren East, Rolls-Royce CEO, commented: "We appreciate Ignacio Mataix's leadership and contribution over the course of many years with ITP. He has been instrumental in the development of ITP Aero into a truly world-class business. We regret seeing him move on and wish him well for the future. His strong and capable executive team will assure a smooth interim period under Carlos' temporary leadership whilst the search for a permanent replacement is under way."
