ITP signs long-term contract with Heli Charter

Heli Charter and ITP have signed an hourly-based service support contract (PbH or Power-by-the-hour) that will cover the full maintenance services of the PW207D1 engines powering the British company's fleet of Bell 429 helicopters. The term of the contract will be ten years.

Heli Charter, the Bell Helicopter Independent Representative for the UK, offers a wide range of helicopters for charter nationwide. The services include charters for corporate travel, private flights and sight-seeing tours, as well as offering aircraft sales. Heli Charter was awarded HEMS approval by the CAA to operate Bell 429 for the county of Wiltshire. The air ambulance is the first of its kind to operate in the UK and flies up to 19 hours a day, with night flying included.

ITP is a Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) for the repair and overhaul of the PW200 family of engines to which the PW207D1 belongs. ITP will provide continuous support both from its Albacete site, which specializes in in-service support for the PW200, and on-site at Heli-Charter's own facilities.

  • Unscheduled revisions (Basic Unscheduled Engine Removal)
  • Overhaul of engines fuel nozzles
  • 24H AOG & On-Field MRS (Mobile Repair Service), troubleshooting, inspections
  • Engine Condition Trend Monitoring
  • Rental Engine Availability
