Strategic partners to drive innovation
Start of main content
At ITP Aero we have built a solid network of collaboration initiatives with strategic technology centres of our industry. We have also fostered R&D centres in cooperation with universities in order to develop advanced technologies for aeronautical engines.
Joint R&D centres

Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Centre (CFAA)
The Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Centre is a leading public-private aeronautical manufacturing partnership focused on improving industrial processes and advanced machinery. This centre, led by ITP Aero and Danobat, is comprised of more than 60 companies from the aeronautical sector, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, the Basque Government, the University of the Basque Country and the Bizkaia Technology Park.
Turbomachinery Fluid Dynamics Research Laboratory (LIFT)
The LIFT Research Laboratory carries out aerodynamic tests in turbomachinery in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Technology centres
ITP Aero supports the technology initiatives these centres carry out, while they focus on specific key technologies, hence creating a collaborative relationship that promotes the strengthening of the industrial network and makes R&D investment more efficient.
Aerospace Test Laboratory (CTA)
The Aerospace Test Laboratory is a research centre specialized in aerospace fluid dynamic tests.
Centre for Technical Studies and Research (CEIT)
The Centre for Technical Studies and Research is an initiative promoted by the University of Navarra aimed at developing industrial applied research projects in collaboration with company in-house R&D departments. These projects are mainly focused on developing advanced mechanical technologies for aeronautics.
Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies of Materials (IMDEA)
The Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies of Materials is an initiative promoted by the Provincial Government of Madrid to encourage the research of materials science and engineering technology and its transmission to the industrial network.
Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM)
The Polytechnic University of Madrid carries out various research activities. Within aeronautics, fluid dynamic and simulation software technologies for turbines and compressors are worth highlighting.
Mondragón University
In the field of aeronautics, Mondragón University carries out manufacturing technology research, including machining processes and state-of-the-art material technologies.
University of the Basque Country (UPV)
The University of the Basque Country undertakes significant research activities, particularly in the field of aeronautics and the development of manufacturing technologies.
