
ITP Aero to invest more than €400 million in next-generation aerospace propulsion systems

The services associated with the contract will be provided at ITP Aero’s facility in Ajalvir (Madrid). This site is evolving into a key global MRO hub, reinforcing ITP Aero’s ability to scale efficiently as global engine fleets mature and aftermarket demand rises.
ITP Aero has signed a multi-year contract with Rolls-Royce to provide repair and overhaul services for Low Pressure Turbine (LPT) modules on the Trent 1000 engine family, including Pack B, Pack C, and -TEN variants. This is supporting Rolls-Royce’s programme to get durability enhancements that make up the new Trent 1000 XE to customers as soon as possible. As the design responsible and manufacturer for Trent 1000 LPT components, this agreement marks a significant expansion of ITP Aero’s module-level MRO capabilities and leverages its existing infrastructure and expertise in LPT design, manufacturing and assembly.
Under the terms of the contract, ITP Aero is carrying out disassembly, inspection, component repair, and reassembly of LPT modules at its Ajalvir facility in Madrid. A new dedicated area has been established to support disassembly, inspection and assembly activities, sharing existing LPT assembly line capabilities, demonstrating the company’s ability to scale modular MRO operations efficiently.
The first modules, which arrived in Q1 2026, have been completed with full operational ramp-up expected during Q2 2026. At full capacity, ITP Aero expects to repair and overhaul up to 100 LPT modules annually.

This expansion adds to the continued growth of BP Aero—ITP Aero’s MRO facility in the United States—and is further strengthened by the recent acquisition of Aero Norway, which extends the company’s capabilities into full engine overhaul.
