
ITP Aero signs Trent 1000 LPT MRO contract with Rolls-Royce, extending capabilities from design and manufacture to aftermarket

The multi-year contract is the first of its kind for Aero Norway and marks a significant point in the company’s transition towards the LEAP engine type.
Stavanger, Norway. Aero Norway, an ITP Aero company and specialist MRO provider for CFM56 engines manufactured by CFM International*, has signed a shop visit offload agreement with GE Aerospace to cover the CFM LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B high pressure turbine (HPT) rotor and HPT stage 2 nozzle assemblies. The multi-year contract is the first of its kind for Aero Norway and marks an important starting point in the company’s transition to CFM LEAP engines.
The agreement solidifies Aero Norway’s participation in GE Aerospace’s open MRO ecosystem, which is helping meet growing demand for LEAP maintenance. GE Aerospace is offloading LEAP engine repairs to trusted third-party providers to address the increasing maintenance demand from over 8,000 active engines and a backlog of over 10,000 engines.
